A note from Andy

Here's a question for you:

If you were a top chef, cooking next to Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall at River Cottage, what cooker would you have in your own dream kitchen?

Something sleek? Yes

Powerful? Absolutely

Efficient? Of course

Well, award-winning food writer, chef, and cookery teacher Gill Meller went with an ESSE range cooker (the 1000 T model to be exact).

ESSE showcased Gill's recently renovated dream kitchen with the cooker centre stage. And I must admit, it's an absolutely beautiful kitchen, click here to take a look, but be warned, you may leave envious!

I personally don't pick favourites amongst the range cookers in the showroom, but that doesn't mean other people can't...

Mr Meller could cook on any cooker in the world. He's got TV credits, cookbooks, awards... but he chose ESSE.

I have recently downsized but without enough room for a decent sized AGA to provide me with both winter and summer cooking facilities.
Happily, I discovered the Everhot range! It's half the price of an AGA, runs on 2x13amp plugs and is very easy to turn off and on for holidays and during the very hot weather we have recently been having. Mine (120i) has 2 hot plates and 3 induction rings, 2 ovens and a warming oven. It also has a grill which I have yet to use.
