A customer was telling me about her fond childhood memories of spending time in their kitchen around a wood-fired stove.
She was hoping to rekindle that same homely feeling by getting a wood-fired cooker of her own...
But there was just one catch...
The kitchen in her townhouse is snugly tucked away downstairs, 14 steps below street level.
So, with no straightforward path due to steps and tight corners, we had to think outside the box...
Her solution was as bold as it was innovative!
The entire house is undergoing a refurbishment, which turned out to be a blessing.
So, the plan was:
I was on the phone with the ESSE factory to see what they could do. And with a few dismantled parts (to make sure it's as light and manageable as possible) we got the green light.
It's not every day you hear about a cooker being hoisted through a window! But when you have a vision for your dream kitchen, no obstacle is too large, right?
Warm regards,
Andy
