Do you have solar panels?

Let's say you have. And you've got an Everhot cooker. You're feeling pretty good about your renewable energy setup. But one evening, you pop a casserole in the oven, flick on the kettle, and, wait a minute, where's all that lovely free solar energy gone?

Well, if the sun hasn't made an appearance or has decided to clock off for the day, your solar panels won't have much to do.

We don't get a lot of sunshine in Britain, so it's a situation most solar panel owners will be familiar with...

And unless you fancy rearranging your entire cooking schedule to those few daylight hours like it's the Stone Age, you're back on the grid paying full whack for electricity.

Unless... you have a home battery.

I spotted an article about TV presenter/property expert Sarah Beeny. She runs her Everhot using solar power, but she also has a battery to store any excess energy. So, she can cook whenever she wants, not just when the sun is shining, while keeping her bills down and her carbon footprint in check.

It's a smart setup, and more people are catching on. So, I'm just spreading the news!

If you've got a battery, you can store up all that glorious free electricity during the day and use it whenever you need it. So your Everhot (or any electric range cooker, really) can run on solar power, even at night, without you having to think twice.

Have you already got solar panels or are considering them? A battery might just be the missing piece of the puzzle.

Warm regards,

Andy

P.S. Everhot cookers are already impressively energy-efficient. Pair one with solar power and a battery, and you've got the perfect setup, free energy, lower bills, and no compromise on cooking whenever you like.
