A note from Andy
I hate getting these calls
I’ll be honest with you, I nearly didn’t write this email.
Not because there’s nothing to say. But because I said something very similar last year.
And the year before.
And the year before that…
And yet, every single winter, the calls still come.
So I thought I may as well go again.
Without fail, every year someone comes to me in dire need. Their old oil-fired cooker has packed in. It’s bitter outside. The house is cold, the water’s cold, and the kitchen – usually the warmest room in the home – feels like a different place entirely.
Now they’re facing a rushed decision, a lengthy wait, and an installation squeezed in between everyone else who left it too late.
I don’t want that to be you this year!
Here’s the thing people don’t always realise until it’s too late…
A Heritage central heating cooker is currently running at 10 to 12 weeks from order to delivery. That’s before installation is even booked in. Which means if you’re sitting in a cold kitchen in November wishing you’d done something about it sooner, the earliest you’re realistically looking at is the New Year.
But if you order now, it’s a completely different picture.
I know it’s the summer and thoughts might be on holidays, barbeques, and evenings in the garden, but now really is the best time for this kind of thing.
You can choose your model in your own time.
You can pick the colour you actually want rather than whatever’s available quickest.
Your installer isn’t booked solid with everyone else’s winter emergencies.
And come October, when the first real chill arrives, your new Heritage is already installed, tested, and doing exactly what it was built to do – warming your kitchen, heating your radiators, and filling your hot water cylinder without a second thought.
That’s the difference between acting in summer and acting in winter.

So, how do you know whether your cooker might need replacing?
Well, I’ll be honest, if you’re suspecting it might need replacing soon, it probably does need replacing.
But otherwise, if your current cooker is:
• Over 20 years old and starting to grumble
• Costing more to service than it used to
• Running less efficiently than it once did
Then summer is absolutely the time to put the wheels in motion.
Not autumn. Not when the first cold snap hits. Now. While there’s time to do it properly.
The oil-fired central heating cooker I’ll always recommend is the Heritage – and for good reason…
It’s built specifically for homes that already have an oil-fired central-heating cooker doing the heavy lifting. So a new Heritage slots straight into your existing setup. The flue’s there. The pipework’s there. The oil supply’s there.
And the quality genuinely impresses.
They’re solidly built to last decades, with a finish and a feel that reminds you why these cookers have been at the heart of British country kitchens for generations.
Reliable heating. Plenty of hot water. Day in, day out, without fuss.
Plus it has that even, radiant heat that does things to a slow-cooked joint that no conventional oven can replicate.
This is a cooker that earns its place in your home.
So, if you think your cooker is near its last legs, PLEASE don’t wait to be put out in the cold. Come by the showroom, have a look at what we’ve got, and get everything sorted before winter even thinks about arriving.
