A note from Andy

The wait is almost over…

There is a date I’ve had circled in my calendar for a while now, and I’m excited it’s almost here…

Friday the 14th of August.

That's the day my new Duck Blue Lacanche finally arrives in the showroom.

If you remember, I mentioned it a few weeks ago when Lacanche first announced the colour.

At the time, all I had was a small enamel sample. And while that gave you an idea, it's really never the same as seeing an entire cooker finished in it.

I've learnt over the years that colours are one of the hardest things to judge from a screen.

People often arrive with their hearts set on one colour, but then something else catches their eye in the showroom, and they walk away with a completely different colour.

Duck Blue might end up being one of those colours…

Sometimes it looks quite soft. Sometimes it looks much richer. From the samples I’ve seen, it changes depending on the light, which is exactly why I wanted one here in the showroom.

The cooker that’s arriving is a Lacanche Rully, so it's a really nice size that can fit in any kitchen.

Now, that’s not all that will be arriving…

A few days later, on Tuesday 18th August, Jenny, my area manager at Lacanche, will be joining me in the showroom between 11am and 2pm.

She spends her time travelling around the country helping customers and dealers with Lacanche, so if you've ever had a question you've wanted to ask, this is the opportunity.

Whether it's about colours, lead times, how the cookers are built, or simply which model might suit your kitchen, she'll be happy to chat.

It's all very informal, so just drop in whenever suits you. Have a look at the new colour, ask as many questions as you like, and come and see what's new.

I'd love to know what people think of Duck Blue once they see it in real life.

Something tells me it's going to divide opinion… which usually means it's going to be very popular!
